SASHA-LEE DAVIDS AND ROBIN PIETERS AT CAPE TOWN’S ORIGINAL FREE CONCERT

Good Hope FM brings you a sizzling hot performance by Idols stars Sasha-Lee Davids and Robin Pieters at the SABC Sea Point Auditorium on Thursday, 2 March 2023.

This week’s Saaiman Says Live Session, which has become a crowd favourite, will see the artists performing their best songs in an intimate setting between 19h00 and 20h00.  Good Hope FM’s Chad Saaiman hosts the event and will be getting up close and personal with the artists during their sets, catching up with them and getting the latest news about their lives and careers.

 

Fresh out of matric, Sasha-Lee – one of 10 children and hailing from Atlantis in the Western Cape made huge waves by winning two reality series consecutively – MATRIX and the coveted Idols crown in 2009. She was invited to record in the USA and travelled to the UK, where she lived for a while, before returning home and kicking her singing career into high gear.

 

She’s also a member of the Davids family of singers, who were the subject of the reality television series House of Davids, from 2011-2012.

 

Idols and The Voice finalist, Robin Pieters, is a South African born singer, producer and actor, whose singing career progressed from singing in church, to being a backing vocalist, to a headline artist, producing and hosting some of Cape Town’s biggest shows.  Some of his career highlights include producing 3 consecutive sold-out shows at the Grand Arena, with his dream of a show called “It’s A Love Thing” and the outdoor festival version thereof coming to fruition.

 

Pieters also performed at KKNK and is a resident performer on Musiek Roulette as well as a regular guest on Noot vir Noot.   He has shared the stage with national and international artists such as Jonathan Butler, Tevin Campbell, Tamia, and CeCe Peniston among others.
