PRESENTER SEARCH WINNER GETS OWN SHOW ON GOOD HOPE FM PLUS OTHER EXCITING CHANGES

Good Hope FM is proud to announce that Sasha Japtha, winner of the 2026 Good Hope FM Presenter Search, will officially join the station’s on-air lineup with her very own show. Cape Town’s Original continues to open doors for the Mother City’s brightest new talent, with several standout finalists from this year’s search also stepping into exciting roles across the station.

From 6 September 2026, Sasha will be bringing listeners The Stinger Sessions, hosted by Big Scorp, an early-morning Sunday show airing 04:00 to 06:00, bringing a warm, laid-back vibe to the start of Cape Town’s Sunday. Sasha blends her singer-songwriter roots with relatable storytelling, fresh music discovery and updates to keep listeners in the know. Her show will feature the hits listeners love, new music from local artists, light-hearted scenarios, trending news, weather and hot-and-happening event updates.

Sasha says she is ecstatic to officially join the Good Hope FM family. “I feel extremely blessed to be part of the team. I didn’t know what to expect after winning the presenter search, so I’m excited that I get to start my radio career through this amazing opportunity. It’s a chance to use my talents, creativity and experience in a new space and on a show of my very own.”

Good Hope FM is also proud to announce opportunities for several standout finalists from the 2026 Presenter Search:

· Xolani Mazibuko will join the station as a weekend stand-in news reader, bringing his strong news-compiling and on-air delivery skills to Cape Town’s Original.

· Caleb Daries will begin shadowing on outside broadcasts and will take on future weekend presenter stand-ins, building on his impressive broadcast and production background.

· Liam Cupido will shadow on outside broadcasts and support the station as a stand-in producer, adding his DJ and radio experience to the team.

There are some other exciting shifts for well-known voices, too:

Delucia Daniels will now be producer of The Roger Goode Breakfast Show, while continuing to produce The Hit 30 Chart Show with Danilo Acquisto. Delucia has been a cornerstone of the station since 2018, with award-winning production credentials and a proven track record of creativity and innovation.

With a stellar track record of delivering highly engaging content both on and off mic, Michaela Muller steps into the role of producer for The Morning Show with Leigh-Anne Williams, while continuing to host her Sunday evening After Hours show from 22:00 to 01:00.
