Position Title                   : Media / Social Media Content Creator

Report Line                      : Regional Operations Manager

Division                             : Western Cape Regional Operations Manager

Project                              :  Cape Flats 7’s Rugby Tournament

Period                               : 1 August 2023 to 30 September 2023

Main purpose of position

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager. To professionally promote content on social media pertaining to the Cape Flats 7’s Rugby Tournament.  Own equipment required for images, videography and editing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement the Social Media Strategy
• Develop and implement profiles of players, teams as well as schools and other personalities
• Keep the conversation alive regarding the Cape Flats 7’s on social media and make sure that it’s trending on facebook, twitter, Instagram, youtube and tiktok.
• Craft the right message to share with the right audience in the right place
• Promote content on social networks and monitor engagements
• Plan, create, publish and share new content on a daily basis
• Increase brand awareness and encourage community members to engage
• Provide the SABC with all images and videos
• Provide a post event report

REQUIREMENTS

• Digital Marketing will be an advantage
• 2 years’ experience in digital platforms environment
• Experience in sound and video recording and editing
• Well organized with a customer orientated approach
• Proficiency in digital software and tools
• Proficiency in Social Media Management tools
• Good time management and ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
