Good Hope FM, Cape Town\u2019s Original, officially launched its line-up and newly rebranded studios at a glitzy breakfast event, held at the station this morning.<\/p>\n
The exclusive event saw clients, media and staff joining Good Hope FM\u2019s presenters in celebrating the station\u2019s 2024 line-up, the new look studios, as well as some innovative and exciting upcoming events.
\nGood Hope FM\u2019s \u201cWeekend Special\u201d presenter and MC for the event, Carissa Cupido, said, \u201cIt\u2019s a day of celebrating Cape Town\u2019s Original, with music, mixes, news, content, competitions and major festivals and events in and around the Mother City that truly MOVES our audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing our brand relaunch in February 2023, we\u2019ve seen some solid growth at the station, and being the first station to bring exciting events like R&B lunches to SA, being the preferred media partner to one of the biggest dance festivals on the planet, ULTRA, and being nominated for seven SA Radio Awards, we\u2019re making some serious waves,\u201d said Cupido.<\/p>\n
Station management reemphasised that, in keeping with a winning recipe for growth, engagement and solid client ROI, changes have been kept to a minimum.
\nSaturdays will see Lord Veezus (\u201cLV\u201d) presenting a brand-new, pumping dance show called \u201cThe Clubhouse\u201d from 22h00 to 01h00. Fauzia Bull has moved to Sundays 22h00 to 01h00. for her new relaxed vibes only show called \u201cSunday Chilla\u201d.<\/p>\n
Former part-time news presenter, Meghan Hector, is now presenting news on \u201cWeekend Breakfast\u201d on Saturday and Sunday between 06h00 and 09h00., as well as on \u201cThe Sunday Feela\u201d with Rinaldo Felaar, Sunday mornings from 09h00. to 12h00. Fabulous new addition to the Good Hope FM team, Zahraa Schroeder, is now presenting news on \u201cThe Weekend Special\u201d with Carissa Cupido, Saturdays and Sundays from 15h00 to 18h00.<\/p>\n
The station also announced that it will be kicking into high gear with some exciting events and community initiatives.
\nThese include a celebration of \u201830 years of democracy\u2019 with location-based outside broadcasts \u2013 the first two at the District 6 Museum and Iziko museum respectively, with Robben Island likely to follow. \u201cKeep Cape Town Warm” will be one of the biggest drives in the city to protect those most vulnerable from the bitter cold.<\/p>\n
Goodhope FM will go on the road with listeners with the “Big Stan Taxi” \u2013 driving listeners to work and school in style, whilst broadcasting live, and “Saaiman Says Live Sessions” to promote Cape Town\u2019s up-and-coming artists through intimate and epic free performances at the Sea Point auditorium.<\/p>\n
