The Night Funk Closing Set DJ this August is 17 year old Trent Simons from Durban. He has always had a huge passion for music and started DJing about two years ago. Trent also hopes to start producing his own music in the near future. His inspirations and DJ idols are Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, Mark Knight, Pleasurekraft, Goldfish, Wolfgang Gartner and Mord Fustang.  When asked to describe his sound, Trent says "I would describe my style of music as progressive electronica minimal tech house. I would like to bring something a bit different to each mix every week to show what I enjoy, and I'm sure yourself (Mixi) and the listeners will too.
