Oh man where do I begin. So let me be the first to tell you that parenting books are great but there’s nothing that can prepare you to be a mother, cause you give birth to a unique precious creature who even at 2 months has moods and at 18 months smacks you and bites you and in a second can show you the most amazing love.

Mothers are superheroes. I am convinced. This is not a mother’s day card feel good phrase, but dammit it’s true. I haven’t had a decent sleep since I was 7 months preggies, I am a walking zombie. And at the same time as a mother you’re trying to keep it together in the home, at work, with your friends, and not forgetting with your lover too.

All of that needs your energy. As a mother you’re punched, scratched by your little one or little ones, trip and fall hard over life’s ever demanding bumps and your breath is taken away trying to be the best you can be for the world around you and the last person you ever consider is YOU

This is why I say mothers are superheroes..
So you can hate it and bitch and moan or you could grab your cape and sword and face it all darling, cause wether you know it or not you can and are equipped to handle it all.
