Leigh-Anne Williams

Let's connect:

Show(s): The Morning Show

With a captivating smile and a more than confident demeanour, Leigh-Anne has consistently carved out her own path in the television and radio industry.

A little-known fact is that Leigh-Anne was holding down a regular-9-to-5 job in recruitment and dabbling in acting lessons in her spare time before she became one of the most recognised faces on South African television. It was when she made the decision to get an agent that her destiny began to unfold. One thing led to another and the budding actress was cast in a local television series, and eight months later she was approached by the Expresso Show production team to be a guest presenter on the show for a week. It goes without saying that she nailed that performance and has been part of the morning breakfast show’s family for over eight years.

Never turning down an opportunity to show the country what she’s made of - Leigh-Anne juggled her already busy schedule on the Expresso Show and at Good Hope FM to participate in the eighth season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.  She did nothing short of prove that she can excel at anything she puts her mind to and snatched the title of runner up in what was an extremely contested and hotly debated finale.

With her eye firmly on an illustrious career in entertainment and broadcast, Leigh-Anne is currently putting a lot more impetus on her health and fitness. “The entertainment industry is constantly on the go, which keeps me on my toes, but I also need to make sure that I can keep up with what my career choices throw at me,” says Leigh-Anne. “Ensuring I’m in peak physical condition is paramount to achieving longevity in this fast-paced world I live in.”

Living a life that is very much in the spotlight, Leigh-Anne maintains that it’s her strong family bonds that keep her grounded and motivated. “My family means the world to me; especially my mom. We’ve been through so much together and she always manages to keep my spirits up no matter what.” Leigh-Anne also attributes her unfailing love and passion for what she does as what also keeps her motivated to always give of her best.

It goes without saying that it’s Williams’ zest for life that resonates most with television and radio audiences across the country, and which motivates her to pursue her dream of one day hosting her own television talk show.

Leigh-Anne lives by a quote by evangelist and author, Leonard Ravenhill: “Opportunities of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.”
