Change Of CT Pride Parade Departure Point
PRIDE ANNOUNCEMENT:
CHANGE OF PARADE DEPARTURE POINT
Please note that, due to renovations being undertaken at the Green Point Traffic office, the Pride Parade will depart from Prestwich Street, Green Point. The parade will commence @ 12h00. A Google map is available on the Pride website,www.capetownpride.org
FLOATS: Please be available by 11h00 in lower Napier Street, where you will be directed into the parade formation by a marshal.
MARCHING GROUPS: Please assemble your groups in Prestwich Street by 11h00, where you will be slotted in between the floats
by a marshal. Remain in formation for the duration of the parade.
INDIVIDUAL MARCHERS: Please join the parade on the corner of Somerset Road and Chiappini Street, as the parade turns left into Somerset Road.
Please adhere to all directives from Parade marshals and traffic officers. Remember to bring water - we anticipate a hot day! Please refrain from littering, and remain in formation at all times.
After the parade we'll return to Napier Street - all pedestrians will be directed to the Prestwich Primary School for the Post-Parade Fair (entry fee R20), while floats will be directed away from the Fair venue by marshals.
The Board of Cape Town Pride apologises for any inconvenience caused by the change to the parade departure point and appeals for your cooperation in order to ensure a fantastic day for everyone !
