Britney Spears is no stranger to TV guest appearances, and the latest rumour is that the singer will be making her next in US hit show Modern Family.

Spears’ thirteen million Twitter followers  saw the star make a bid to star in the show when she posted on her page, "I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can't wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV."

The tweet was reposted by, among others, the show’s star Sofia Vergara, and fans soon trended #GetBritneyOnModernFamily, with Brit commenting, “I would love to be on it.”

Surely that’s enough incentive to get producers on the phone to Brit’s people.

The singer has previously made cameos in Will and Grace and How I Met Your Mother”, as well as having a whole Glee episode dedicated to her, which she again guested on.
